True Mayan Ceremonial Cacao Produced by it's Traditional Custodians

THE STORY OF OUR FIFTH ELEMENT CAHABON CACAO

This 100% Pure Ceremonial Cacao Paste comes from an indigenous family of cacao producers near Antigua, who source their beautiful cacao from farms in the jungles of northern Guatemala, in the region of Cahabón.

This incredible family were able to find safety and stability in cacao production, after breaking free from a life of adversity in Guatemala City.

On reaching their small town near Antigua, they founded an extraordinary 100% organic & bio-diverse cacao production facility.

Producing cacao made with deep love and reverence for the legacy of sacred cacao, the family follow all the traditional practices that have been observed by the Mayans for millennia.

From bio-diverse farming practices and traditional blessing practices on the farm, to hand-roasting and hand-peeling the beans: their cacao is made completely by hand with the exception of a stone grinder being used at the end of the production process.

This ensures that the excellent quality & full potency of traditional Mayan cacao is maintained and that every aspect of production is carried out with intention and care for the earth.

Flavour Profile

Traditional wood smoke, nut, chocolate, very light acidity.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR MAYAN CACAO

POTENT & POWERFUL

This unique ceremonial cacao comes from the home of the Mayan people & the lands of cacao, now known as Guatemala. Always made from the highest quality ancient cacao beans, known as Criollo, it holds the powerful energetic frequency of the Mayan tradition.

AUTHENTIC & TRADITIONAL PRACTICES

Every step of the process involved in making our Cahabón Cacao involves 100% traditional techniques, following the ancient rituals and practices of the Mayan people.

This includes:

Using traditional indigenous bio-diverse & organic farming practices

Blessing and energetically cleansing the cacao on the farm and during production

Hand-roasting the beans over a wood fire in a clay skillet, infusing them with the energy of the sacred fire

Hand-peeling the husk from the beans, with great care and intention offered to each and every one before the next stage of the process

ONLY ONE MACHINE USED

Unlike commercial cacao and chocolate production there is only one machine used in the entire process of making Fifth Element Cahabón Cacao: when the cacao beans are placed in a small stone grinder to be turned into 100% ceremonial cacao paste.

ORGANIC & BIO-DIVERSE

Fifth Element Cahabón Cacao is grown using traditional indigenous farming practices, that are regenerative, biodiverse & sustainable.

Prioritising not only your own health and wellness, but also the health of the earth and soil, protecting it for future generations and helping to counter the effects of climate change.

DIRECT TRADE

Direct trade means no middle man exploiting indigenous communities.

The indigenous cacao producers we work with set their own prices, and therefore receive far more than the fair trade rate, which is still highly exploitative and not enough for the quality of life we all deserve.
